What is the Walk for Warmth?
WAIM’s annual fundraiser to raise money for our Energy Assistance Fund.
This year’s Walk for Warmth will take place at 2:15 pm, Sunday, November 20, following the Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church at 99 Jackson Street in Willimantic. Registration starts at 1:00 and the Interfaith Service starts at 1:30pm. The Walk is a short two-mile track that starts and ends at the Church. The true beauty of the Walk is the way everyone involved gets together and does what they can to help families in need in our community.
How can you help?
All it takes is getting together a team of walkers, have each walker get donations from their family, friends and co-workers (a minimum donation of $20 is needed per walker) and having your team join us on Novermber 20th as we enjoy the short two mile walk around Willimantic.
If you have any questions you can reach Evelyn Solla at 860-456-7270 x12 or email her at assistdir@waimct.org. For more information regarding this event, please visit our website at www.waimct.org.
Thank you in advance for all your support. I look forward to seeing you at the Walk!
