WILLIMANTIC — To help fight housing insecurity, the Liberty Bank Foundation awarded the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (WAIM) $5,000.
WAIM Executive Director Dwayne David Paul said that nearly half of Connecticut renters are housing cost-burdened and spend more than 30% of their income on rent, utilities, and other housing expenses. These expenses often leave families vulnerable to shortfalls due to emergencies or other changes in income.
