WAIM at First Congregational of Willimantic
Huge thanks to Pastor Paul Doyle and the community at First Congregational Willimantic for inviting WAIM's executive director, Dwayne David Paul, to preach this Sunday, October 25, at their 10:00 am service. All are welcome to join in person, or virtually via Zoom or Facebook Live.
If you would like a member of WAIM's team to visit your congregation to provide updates, deliver a message, or share time during coffee hour, please contact Stephanie at 860-456-7270 x105 or officevolunteer@waimct.org.
Call for Donations: Travel-Sized Toiletries
WAIM serves many people experiencing homelessness and other forms of housing insecurity. Travel-sized toiletries are a real lifesaver for them as they are discreet and don't take up much space in backpacks. We welcome donations of travel-size toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo and conditioner, razors, and lotion.
If your congregation or group would like to organize a toiletries drive, email us at officevolunteer@waimct.org or call 860-456-7270 x105. If you would like to donate some on your own, WAIM accepts material goods donations from 9 am to 12 pm, Tuesday through Saturday at our Riverside Drive entrance. As always, thank you for your generosity!
Dwayne Joins Keith Rice on WILI's Hometown Threads
Dwayne joined Keith Rice on his WILI radio show, Hometown Threads, earlier this month. It was a fun conversation on Dwayne's background, a look back on his first year as WAIM's executive director, as well as the 34th annual Walk for Warmth taking place on Sunday, November 22.
