WAIM Partners with Willimantic Whitewater Partnership to Promote Cycling
WAIM's Bikes for Windham Program has partnered with the Willimantic Whitewater Partnership to purchase and install two bike racks and a bike repair stand at Whitewater Park. The equipment is free and open for public use.
Through the Bikes for Windham Program, WAIM provides free, gently used bicycles to those who need it, along with a brand-new helmet and a lock. The majority of bike recipients are adults seeking reliable transportation. Bikes for Windham promotes greater independence, mobility, and healthy transportation among WAIM's clients.
Last Flea Market of 2026: November 14!
The final WAIM Flea Market of the year is on Saturday, November 14, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on the 5th floor. All proceeds directly support WAIM's mission to uplift and unite our community by providing caring service and resources to meet our neighbors’ needs with dignity and respect.

Walk for Warmth Registrations Are Filling Up!
Every year, hundreds of Windham area residents participate in WAIM's Walk for Warmth because they believe their neighbors ought to remain in warm, safe, dignified housing. This year's Walk is on Sunday, November 22, from 12:30 to 4:30 starting at Temple Bnai Israel at 383 Jackson Street in Willimantic. Many thanks to our dear friends at the synagogue for hosting!
