The ROI of Volunteer Team Building

Businesses have a profound impact on their communities, employees, and the bottom line when they promote volunteerism among their staffs. Charlie Godfrey, a member of WAIM's board of directors, wrote an awesome blog piece about this, highlighting WAIM's work as a frequent host site for the community service days of local businesses, in addition to the work we do with schools, faith communities, and other civil society organizations.

If you would like to organize a day of service with your colleagues, contact WAIM's executive director, Dwayne David Paul, to get the ball rolling: dwayne@waimct.org or 860-456-7270 x102. Click here to check out Charlie's blog post.

Wayne, Dwayne, and WAIM

Many thanks to WILI's Wayne Norman for interviewing WAIM's executive director, Dwayne David Paul, yesterday morning. The two talked about WAIM's mission, upcoming programs, as well as the needs in the community that WAIM's staff and volunteers are seeing.

Volunteer Spotlight

Kathy has volunteered at WAIM for over seven years! During that time, she has made huge contributions to WAIM's administrative functions, the Walk for Warmth, the Career Closet, and processing material goods donations. We are grateful!
